IC Hiking Tour in Mitwitz (organised by Wil Meijer and Sander van Smaalen)

Meeting point: Car park at the moated castle (Wasserschloss) in Mitwitz
Circular route via Häusles
Hike: 6,4 km, 184 vertical meters, about 2 hours and 30 minutes walking time.
Afternoon: Guided tour of Mitwitz Wasserschloss (moated castle) (approx. one hour; free of charge)

Directions from Bayreuth (drive time approx. 60 minutes):
GPS: Ludwig-Freiherr-von-Würtzburg-Strasse, Mitwitz
- From Bayreuth to Kulmbach and continue on the B85 to Kronach.
- Shortly before Kronach turn left (follow B85), direction Bamberg - Saalfeld - Kronach-West.
- After a few metres take the first exit from the roundabout (follow 303), direction Coburg.
- After a few kilometres, turn right towards Coburg / Mitwitz; later take the Mitwitz exit.
- Drive through Mitwitz to the moated castle; turn left (not right!) and follow the access road to the car park along the moat of the moated castle.
